Tetrick IDL
by Gino DiLorenzo
Mrs. Tetrick's students learned about probability. Mrs. Tetrick's students learned about probability, the likelihood that a certain event will occur. For example, the way we predict the weather every morning. They learned about probability by spinning nickels. They spun the nickels about one hundred times. Since the probability of the nickel landing on heads or tails was fifty-fifty, so it was good for breaking ties or making decisions. The students also played many rounds of "Rock Paper Scissors" and determined it wasn't as fair a way of making decisions. The students also learned about decimals, fractions, and percentages. The students really enjoyed this lesson.
